The Bride is one of my earlier pieces from my new oil painting practice, and showcases a more naive understanding of the medium. It shows my wife on our wedding day bathed in warm sunlight as it pours in from the window of our wedding suite.

This painting shows a more limited use of paint, as it is applied thinner and more conservatively compared to my later practice. Even so, it effectively portrays the moment as I remember it.
